A Oksner

A  Oksner communicates through murals, multi-media collaborations, and performance work. While experimenting with paint in public, Oksner studies light, community, herself, and the forces that feed us. 

Oksner’s daily painting practice began with a watercolor set she started carrying in her bag, painting whenever she had the itch. Like the process of writing helps discover thoughts, the process of painting unfolds spaces and subjects into layered, multi-dimensional possibilities. She has painted 18 murals and held live-painting residencies in multiple cities across the U.S. and Chile.

Oksner holds a B.A. in Political Communication from The School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University.
